Camila González Benöhr

I approach every project with the goal of making environments not only easier to navigate but more meaningful to experience. My background in visual communication and my lived experience of having a poor sense of direction give me deep empathy for users—and a sharp eye for the details that make or break their journey.

For me, wayfinding is part of a broader design discipline: experiential design. I’m interested in how people feel in a space, how they interact with it, and how it reflects the identity of the place. That’s why I consider every element—from colour and contrast to tone of voice and spatial rhythm.

I’ve worked on hospitals, civic spaces, transport networks, and education campuses across Australia, Chile, and Germany—collaborating with clients and project teams to connect strategic thinking with design clarity. My work is grounded in the belief that functional systems can also be beautiful, and that beauty should always support understanding.

I unwind by making collages, watercolours, and paintings—and occasionally get lost in the city just to see what I find.
