Kim Leenards

For the past 15 years, I’ve shaped how people move through and feel in complex environments. Hospitals, stations, airports, courts, places that should feel intuitive, but often don’t. I began as a designer, but quickly realised that my strength (and passion) lies in strategy. That’s where I can make the biggest impact.

I like to cut through complexity and focus on what really matters. I’m not afraid to ask the hard questions if it leads to a better outcome. At the same time, I bring people—stakeholders, communities, and clients—into the process to ensure that what’s envisioned on paper translates into a space that feels functional, intuitive, and works for them.

I love to wander and get lost. These days, I let my two-year-old lead the way—it’s a great way to see things from a fresh perspective.
