Part of the ACT Government’s major infrastructure investment in southern Canberra, the new Woden Interchange is a purpose-built, future-ready transport hub designed by Gray Puksand. It creates a seamless link between bus services, the future light rail, and the adjacent CIT Woden campus—forming an integrated civic spine for the precinct.

We’ve developed a wayfinding system that helps people catch the right bus and light rail, creating a system that fits effortlessly within a highly visible, high-traffic public space. The signage is practical, durable, and easy to maintain, designed with enough finesse to feel premium and befitting the environment.

We’re also introducing a new information design paradigm. The current system has been rethought—consolidating information, improving clarity, and presenting more detail in a way that’s easier to understand at a glance. Whether users are transferring between services or navigating the precinct on foot, the signage delivers exactly what’s needed, when and where it’s needed.

The project is currently underway, with more images to follow as the site nears completion.
