Design that looks good on paper doesn’t always work in practice. That’s why we test it before it’s built, and after it’s in use.
At Humanics Collective, we use behavioural research and performance testing to validate how environments actually work for the people using them. Our methods combine user observation, cognitive load assessments, eye-tracking, VR simulations, gap analysis, and post-occupancy evaluation. Whether it’s a signage system, a hospital layout, a new check-in process, or user experience at a busy airport, we measure real-world outcomes, not just good intentions.

Through virtual simulations, live walkthroughs, and behavioural observation, we reveal how people actually experience your space. We uncover what works, what doesn’t, and what needs to change. By combining real-world testing with tools like VR and AI simulation, we show how your space performs under pressure, in context, and from a user’s point of view, even before your doors open.
Designers, operators, and architects often have to make critical decisions early in a project. These choices directly affect safety, usability, and experience. But without real data, those decisions rely heavily on assumptions. That’s risky. We offer a way to reduce that risk.
For example, we might use eye-tracking in a virtual walkthrough to see if a proposed sign gets noticed by users under stress. Or we might conduct on-site shadowing to observe how people navigate a space unaided. We’ve tested wayfinding systems before and after installation, mapped friction points in hospital arrival zones, studied passenger movement through transport hubs, and run public trials to compare pictograms and terminology.
We also conduct Gap Analysis, a structured evaluation method that compares your current system or proposed solution to what users actually need. It is especially useful for retrofit environments or upgrades, where legacy systems introduce unexpected constraints.

Testing is not just about identifying problems. It is about improving performance. That is why we pair evaluation with iteration. If something does not work as intended, we do not just report it. We help fix it. Our reports come with practical, actionable design recommendations that can be implemented immediately or folded into the next project stage.
