Located in the heart of regional NSW, the Albury Entertainment Centre is a civic hub for performing arts, business events, and cultural life in the region. Originally built in the 1960s and expanded in the 1990s, the Centre is undergoing a major redevelopment to create a contemporary venue that supports both local community use and large-scale regional conferencing and performances.

Wayfinding

Humanics Collective has been engaged to deliver the wayfinding strategy for the redevelopment, working closely with the City of Albury and Peddle Thorpe the project’s architectural design team. Our goal is to ensure that the upgraded venue remains welcoming and intuitive for all users—audiences, performers, event organisers, and staff.
With multiple entrances, layered programming, and a mix of public and private spaces, the project requires more than a traditional signage solution. Our approach focuses on clarity of movement and legibility of space, ensuring users always understand where they are, where they’re going, and what’s ahead. The strategy supports the new architectural configuration while respecting the original structure’s civic significance.
The redevelopment is being delivered in stages to allow the Centre to remain operational throughout construction. Our wayfinding framework is designed to adapt alongside the phased build, ensuring consistency and usability at every step.
