Wayfinding for a working transport environment
Humanics developed the wayfinding strategy and signage system with the ACT Government project and public transport teams. The work addressed routes, platforms, service information, accessibility and the sequence of decisions passengers make as they move through the interchange.
Clear sightlines establish the main routes. Information appears where passengers choose a platform, transfer between services or leave the interchange for CIT, Westfield and Woden Town Centre. Platform identification and destination information use a consistent hierarchy that can be understood quickly in a busy public environment.

A connected precinct
The interchange and CIT Woden form part of the same ACT Government investment in education, transport, housing and public space. Humanics considered the connections between these elements as part of one journey, including arrival from the town centre, movement between the campus and bus platforms, and future transfers to light rail.
The result is a wayfinding system built around how the interchange operates and how passengers use it. It supports more platforms, clearer movement and easier access across the wider Woden precinct.
