Simon Wong
I lead and develop people, teams, and organisations to become more human-centred and customer-centric, helping them realise their purpose and shape the future they want to create. By combining human-centred design and foresight tools with real-world delivery experience, I build internal capacity and bring people along the journey, ensuring change is meaningful, sustainable, and long-lasting.
My background in conservation ecology (yep!) shaped the way I understand systems, people and behaviour. Over time, that foundation evolved into a career in project management, service design, user experience and organisational change. My work focuses on the complex interactions of people, systems, processes and culture, particularly in the context of organisational and digital transformation. I’m drawn to challenges where behavioural insight, strategic design and stakeholder engagement can unlock progress.
Earlier in my career, I worked on public transport policy, where I helped shape major infrastructure initiatives in Victoria like the Regional Rail Link, Metro Tunnel and SmartBus Network. I also applied scientific thinking to accessibility, designing a human-centred approach to prioritise level-access tram stops.
Outside of work I still get a thrill from travelling and being in nature. Conservation instincts never really leave you - they just show up in different ways.
