Fraser Allison

I work at the intersection of people and technology, helping Humanics Collective explore how advanced digital tools can enhance design outcomes in the built environment. With a background in human-computer interaction and strategic market research, I focus on bridging the gap between data and experience. I lead our development of immersive VR testing and AI-driven user simulations, creating new ways to evaluate and improve how people move through and interact with complex spaces. My work combines rigorous academic thinking with practical application, supporting our teams to test hypotheses, validate design decisions and enhance user experiences through evidence and experimentation.

I hold a PhD in Human-Computer Interaction from the University of Melbourne, where I researched the societal implications of emerging technologies and the evolving relationship between people and digital systems.

I have a keen interest in game design. My first academic paper examined how game designers use environmental cues to help players understand what they can do and where they can go within virtual urban spaces.
